Blacks’ Fish and Chip shop in Halton is supporting the RNLI’s Fish Supper campaign which encourages people across the UK and Ireland to host a fish-themed meal for friends and family during the weekend of 13–15 October 2017.

On Friday 13 and Saturday 14 October they will be holding a collection for the lifeboat as well as donating 10% of their takings from each day to help the charity continue saving lives at sea. Chip shop owner Matthew Black said ‘We are proud to be supporting the RNLI again this year and hope we can raise plenty of money to help the lifeboat’s volunteers continue their important work.’

Evenings: 4:30pm - 8:00pm

The Mayor of Lancaster, Councillor Roger Mace, is also holding a ‘Fish and Chip Supper’ on Thursday 12th October at the Alhambra in Morecambe doors open at 7.00pm.

Tickets are on sale now, priced £10, from the Mayor’s Office with a choice of fish chips & mushy peas, sausage, chips & peas or cheese & onion pies & peas plus a drink.

Last year, RNLI lifeboat crews across the UK and Ireland rescued 8,643 people and saved 431 lives. It costs over £485,000 per day to run the RNLI, and the charity relies on donations from the public to continue its lifesaving service.
